This article will provide teachers with the information needed to customize tags for their lessons.
Lesson Tags provide teachers with a simple yet powerful tool to group and highlight lessons. You can define as many tags as needed, and can apply multiple tags to each lesson. Common use cases for tags include:- Lesson Status - Tags to show the status of a lesson, such as: draft, ready, taught, reviewed, etc.
- Lesson Supports - Tags to remind you of supports required for a lesson, such as: laptops, smart board, math cart, etc.
- Lesson Helpers - Tags to track helpers that will be in your classroom, such as: aide, parent, counselor, etc.
- Lesson Location - Tags to provide location for a lesson, such as: Room 101, online, playground, etc.
Create a New Lesson Tag
To create a new lesson tag:
- From the Planbook Bar, select Plans.
- Click the Lesson Actions (3 dot) icon of any lesson.
- Click the Manage Tags (gear) icon in the top-right tag bar.
- Click the Add Tag (plus) icon in the top-right menu.
- Enter a Name for the new tag.
- Click the Save (checkmark) icon to save your changes.
Apply a Tag to a Lesson
To apply a tag to a lesson:
- From the Planbook Bar, select Plans.
- Click the Lesson Actions (3 dot) icon of the lesson to receive the tag.
- Click on the desired tag icon in the tag bar. A checkmark will appear to show the tag is now applied to the lesson.
- To remove a tag, click on the tag checkmark.
